Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 23, 2018 At first I didn't particularly like the film, but I was drawn in to Tilly's story as she sought to understand her own history. I hadn't heard of it and picked it up as an impulse buy to while away a couple of hours.

Strangely, after the game is over, the young men (save for our romantic leading man) seem to be missing from the town.

Film of two halves - the first being overdone 'humorous' characters in a farcical story, and the second part was a black revenge play, which was still completely bonkers! Bellissima la fotografia, come la direzione artistica. Never seen such a small town, but coming from one similar I can attest to how true this can be. I have no idea what to think about the meaning of the ending in a bigger sense, but in literal terms, I was satisfied by it. She falls in love with the pure-hearted Teddy (Liam Hemsworth); Armed with her sewing machine and haute couture style, Tilly transforms the women of the town, exacting sweet revenge on those who did her wrong.
