We couldn't pass up the tartufo for dessert, and ate all of the cheesecake, even though we didn't mean to! The prosecco and Aglianico by the glass were excellent. Food, and service were both subpar and not in keeping with what I have come to expect from Lupa.Terrific pasta, an excellent Italian wine list, and professional and warm service extending even to the bus people.Really a delicious kitchen but be careful if you order pasta with chanterelles. Attentive and friendly service, great wine. It's a neighborhood gem and classy. Asked several times and finally got someone.

Lupa is a Roman trattoria south of New York’s Washington Square Park. Food was delicious but would have loved a few more vegetarian options with fresh Pasta.Very good menu with options for everyone. Every bite was delicious. You can see the care that they put into the food and in each plate individually. My favorite dish (Ricotta Gnocci with Sausage & Fennel) was different this time. 2 or our 3 pasta dishes were poor. We shared everything - artichoke hearts, broccolini, amazing fluke crudo (don't miss that! We will definitely be back.Did not feel safe with the density of their tables.Lupa had been one of our favorite places to eat. I ordered a crispy fish; I spoke to the waiter about this entree in detail, however it was not clear to me that it was it batter fried. One had to be sent back.Loved the outdoor dining at Luna. Service, food and ambiance are great.Despite the good food and service, the outdoor tables are definitely not 6 ft apart. Reservations are accepted up to one month in advance to the numerical date (not including group dining). My wife had fried calamari with fennel and artichokes. First the wrong order was submitted and we had to wait a long time for the right order. They’ll serve you oyster mushrooms and neither apologize Nor offer a discount unless you insist. Finally, the music was too loud; had to talk over it. Specialties: Bucatini All'Amatriciana, Bavette Cacio e Pepe, Saltimbocca Established in 1999. Greatly exceeded my expectations. They have quickly adapted to the new environment. The staff did nothing to remedy the situation, which definitely took away from our overall experience. Good food and excellent service at a comfortable table for the four of us.Staff was helpful and knowledgeable but food was a little underwhelming especially for the price.
