I liked this movie. I have to admit unashamedly that this film is a guilty pleasure for me. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 13, 2019 Especially enjoyed the performance of Lou Diamond Phillips as a Greenpeace boat captain who survived the Triangle and suffered the effects afterwards. I don't remember exactly how long we were in Cuba for the repairs, but I do know it was more than a week until the ship was able to continue to Puerto Rico. Mind bending horror sci-fi! At the same time, members of the crew were running toward the people yelling for us to go inside and put on our life jackets, which we did since we had had a drill soon after leaving the New York harbor. Enjoyed it to a point. Any one who knows about the Triangle knows that not every one disappears or drowns or what ever it is that happens after. Currently, Amazon Prime actually boasts the largest movie library of the three, but it could be argued that quantity isn't nearly as important as quality. As long as you like sci-fi it's all good, but don't go into this thinking that everything is going to be solved in a straight-forward way like one of those forensics TV shows. But this one, while generally following the logical act structure of the rest was a complete and very enjoyable surprise for me. The water instantly got very choppy and there was all the lighting and thunder. Her suspicions are realized when the yacht hits a storm in the Bermuda Triangle and the group is forced to board a passing ocean liner to get to safety. I find the whole concept of films about 'time shifting',(or however you care to describe it), endlessly fascinating. If you like films as diverse as Back to the future, Groundhog Day, Donny Darko, Primer, Timecrimes, Timecop, The deaths of Ian Stone,Terminator, Source Code The butterfly effect, Frequency, Dead of nigh or even it's a wonderful Life to name a few, you should certainly see this.
