Cynder was actually born from the same brood of eggs as Spyro, and she was taken by the Dark Master's forces and was corrupted by his poisonous powers, becoming his tool of destruction. Spyro catches up with her and asks her what was she doing, and Cynder reveals that she's leaving the temple, feeling guilty after all that she had done back when she was under the Dark Master's control.
