And when Hinami continued to speak, and was almost killed by Suzuya in the fight, Kichimura happily declared her victory before she was saved by Kaneki. He jokingly stated that he could do whatever he truly wanted, and that he wanted to have a lot children with her, leaving Kaneki with his companion shortly afterwards. Kaneki then asks why he dropped the steel beams on Rize, in which Furuta reveals that he was simply trying to capture her and that he just happened to be there. Koori came to the conclusion that they would move onward with Furuta's plan, to which Furuta smiled.Later, Furuta and Koori were walking together until they were approached by Matsuri Washuu, who went forward to question who allowed Furuta's plan to be set in motion. After Matsuri walked away, Furuta thanked Koori for standing up for him, but said that he was not very confident in his plan, only to be scolded by Koori who said that was not a very Washuu-like thing to say, and that he should hold his head high and be proud of his data.Later on in the midst of the action, when the White Suits interfered with the battle, Furuta observed their movements, understanding Kaneki's plan of contending with the CCG and comparing it to Eto's way of scheming. He then tells her how far he went out of his to gain information regarding the One-Eyed King, including sneaking into the Ghoul Restaurant and joining the Clowns, yet despite all of that, he gained nothing. Refusing to give up, Kaneki began morphing into a monstrous-looking kakuja, in which Furuta was pleased to see his current state. Heavily injured, Furuta lays down next to the wall in a fatal state. During the promotion ceremony and after some time, Furuta was soon promoted to department director and now knowm by the name of Kichimura Washuu, he participated in the party masking ceremony and annoying some Investigators with his appearances. In his final moments, he envisioned his old life with Rize in the Garden, remembering the life he thought he could have, before dying of his wounds. Kichimura later met Iwao Kuroiwa in his office and asked him to reflect on his son's situation, and that he was sentenced to death. Mid-fight, Kaneki passed out, and woke up limbless. He was eventually defeated by Hinami, who stabbed him through his stomach and casted him off aside.

Kichimura internally stated a desire to have Matsuri wiped out as soon as possible, and went as far as to order V to dispose of him, so that he could take the position of Bureau Director from Matsuri's hands. Furuta then unleashed a large kagune, revealing his strength to Kaneki. Lleva una máscara blanca con la nariz redonda y roja, enmarcada con una tenebrosa sonrisa, sus ojos son peque… Kichimura was with an disguise as Nimura Furuta and allied to Clown. Kaneki told Hinami to flee, and entered his kakuja mode, fighting head-on with Suzuya and Hanbee who both wear Arata. Furuta was collapsed against a pillar appearing to be badly beaten, as the only survivor of the battle. Kichimura Washuu known as Nimura Furuta is main antagonist together with his father Tsuneyoshi Washuu. And when the CCG was finally able to suppress the Clowns and the mission was soon considered long. Stating his intention and determination to defeat Furuta, Kaneki unleashed his new Kakuja. And Suzuya soon stated that all he needed was to kill all the Clowns, and Furuta begged him to do so with a mischievous smile. Kichimura openly stated his desire to bear a bunch of children from her. After hearing Kaneki's thoughts on the matter, he asked the One-Eyed King if he'd believe Furuta if he said he just wanted a normal life. Without a shred of doubt, Arima's death was one of the saddest in the entire series. "To further his own agenda, he has used various identities to infiltrate organizations or build personal alliances.

Kuki Urie and Iwao Kurowia later confronted Furuta in his office, as they had suspected Furuta's mysterious behaviour. Even though he 'killed' Kaneki once, Arima became a father to him and loved him with all his heart. Everything will have been for naught! As Kaneki leaves him be, Furuta remains lying down to the wall, reflecting on his past, before finally closing eyes, remaining in eternal rest. Later when the alarms were activated and Kaneki was releasing the prisoners.

Then the Investigators began to flee, while Kichimura shouted at them to stay, and looking pleased with Kaneki's condition, he soon began calling him a dragon, and saying to eat with joy, and after being bitten by him while Kichimura claimed his victory. Soon after, Eto decided to leave his cell, and she enraged killed several investigators ghouls, thus being left only the Furuta that had not died (in his fight against Kaneki and Hinami) Eto then goes after him when she is ready to kill him, he, in an absurd way manages to defeat her with his kagune, and soon he reveals himself as a one-eyed ghoul, he then asks Furuta what he wants then he replies that he just wants and leaves danced.

Their relationship was superficially professional, but indications of strain existed. As Kaneki rejected the offer, he asked Furuta why he chose to drop the steel beams on him while he was attacked by Rize.

The response that Eto was a ghoul and CCG had taken her into custody was big enough that they were overwhelmed with phone calls that gave various opinions. He led the attack on the Goat base and watched as Suzuya attempts to kill Hinami.
