I would again for the robata, but would skip on the ceviche and other appetisers.Fantastic attentive service, and wonderful fresh tasty foodPre theatre menu was excellent and pretty good value for money. with strawberies and jasmine, custard and crumble Took four requests to get water....Incredible ingredients, although this time due to being very busy the confection of the food was not as good as usualOk but the bill has an optional 13.5% service charge which I had to ask to be removedBrilliant experience - all the food was lovely. The back cod and the spinach leaves with a sesame dressing stood out in particular but it was all amazing.

Really disappointed after hearing such good things about Roka...we couldn't wait to leave to be honest.Totally bad experience, and a waste of time and money. Guarda le foto del menu di Roka in zona Aldersgate Street, Barbican a London. I ended my meal with the black cod, it was tasty but not amazing as advertised or sold on by staff.I had done a bit of research previously to dining, and after the fantastic marketing watching the video on the Roka website, it was safe to say I had very high expectations. I've had better meals and service in his city, NYC or Hong for this price. This Roka is much nicer and feels more upscale than the Charlotte Street one. 71 Aldwych; London; WC2B 4HN; PRE-ORDER. ROKA Aldwych, located moments from the Strand and minutes from Covent Garden and Somerset House, serves contemporary Japanese robatayaki cuisine.
Once again the restaurant did not disappoint, it also gained rave reviews from another couple that joined us to celebrate.
The experience was as poor as it gets.
Valid from April 4 to December 31 2020. There is a relaxed ambience in this slick eatery, which has at its heart a Robata grill. If this is all they are prepared to offer, they shouldn’t bother opening, it has a detrimental impact on an otherwise great brand.Robata ribs were good, with a cashew, salt and sansho pepper seasoning. Portions are small, very tasty. avocado and sweet dark soy Eventually given table by bar which meant no service. London has too many nice restaurants to waste any more time here.It was a spontaneous decision to go to Roka, no reservation made, we just walked in and were seated instantly! This dessert included the BEST chocolate mousse I have ever had (even being dairy-free!). The fourth location to open in London, ROKA Aldwych marked the tenth year anniversary of the flagship restaurant on Charlotte street.
You would have thought that they would have wanted to increase our bill through the drinks but we didn't get asked all the way through our meal whether we wanted a drink, or get asked if we wanted to order anything else or if everything was ok. We had to battle for the waiters attention for a good twenty minutes and when he did come to our table he took our order for two drinks, 30 minutes later and we were still waiting.

Every dish came too quick, especially the hot food, end up eating it cold. We were late to our reservation and had very little time (less than an hour) to dine. I only remember it as really good.Roka on Charlotte Street is one of my favorite restaurants in London so when my family and I were back in London, Roka was at the top of the list to visit.
