Leave the books to straighten in a small room with a dehumidifier running for best results. Thank you!! Place a washcloth or other piece of fabric over the book and iron using low heat. I hated that continuous scrolling and could get it off.

Shameless plug for r/fountainpens, but yes, this'd be a matter of thin paper and pressing too hard.If you've not yet tried FPs, they require no pressure and so you can avoid this sort of thing. Make sure the rubber bands fit tight around the book. Pictures and step-by-step to fix Kindle Fire and Android App and get it back to normal page flip mode. There is no way to get to this menu or the settings from within a book, as far as I have found. I searched and searched and tried to change it in “additional settings” and that didn’t do it either.
